In addition to its prime location for shopping, Hótel Frón is ideally placed for restaurants/cafés, arts and culture. Just around the corner is one of Iceland’s leading art galleries, Gallery i8. We highly recommend a visit. Several vegetarian restaurants are within a stone’s throw, including Á næstu grösum, Grænn kostur and Garðurinn. Across the street is the hip fashion store Aftur, run by Hrafnhildur “Raven” and Bára Hólmgeirsdóttir, who famously dress Björk. Also in the same building across the street is Kling & Bang, a cutting-edge, avant-garde gallery offering interesting exhibitions.
